One Day at a Time....AND Jesus is better than Orange Juice.

This week's blog is inspired by Florida orange juice!  Read on to find out why...

Today I had a good conversation with a friend of mine.  She works at Microsoft in Seattle, and was telling me about the new project she has been working on.  The project is a very stressful one, as she is the newbie on the team, with a LOT of work cut out for her.  She shared how she would start each day with prayer and how she felt God give her Matthew 6:34: 

Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. (MSG)

  Another version of the end of this verse says, "Todays trouble is enough for today." 

You may not think this is a very encouraging verse, but look at it this way - Jesus Himself tells us not to worry about tomorrow - in essence, to take it one day at a time.  Watch this short commercial for Florida Orange Juice to get the picture....

You know what I got out of it?  When we take it one day at a time, just like Jesus says, He is there to help us - and Jesus is better than orange juice. 
He's better than coffee.
He's better than your pump up song on the radio.
He's better than anything it takes to get you through your day. 

It makes me wonder if I'm starting off MY day the right way.... Not with a cup of orange juice, but by placing my day - one day at a time- in the hands of Jesus, and walking it out with Him....
